Josey Million Dollar Bit

These are gag bits designed to work with horses in all stages of barrel racing training and competition endorsed by Martha Josey. The Million Dollar bit has won a lot of money for many riders.

This bit features a stainless steel 3-piece twisted wire dog bone snaffle mouthpiece and a rope noseband. Equipped with a 5″ shank, the Million Dollar bit is ideal because pressure is evenly distributed on the nose, bars, corners of the mouth, curb, and poll.

This bit is one of our all-time proven favorites at the Josey Ranch. Use this bit for achieving the all-important flex you need from a well-balanced bit, or pick the Prime Time for the same bit with some extra flash.

Josey Tear Drop 3-Piece Bit

The Tear Drop Bit is a lighter version of the Josey Million Dollar Bit, and a step up from the O-Ring Combination Bit.

It features a 3-piece twisted wire, a dog bone snaffle mouthpiece, and a rope noseband with a teardrop shank. This bit offers bend, lift, and moderate rate.

Remember: start with the lightest bit possible and progress from there. It’s difficult to move backwards.

Josey Go-Around Bit

The Go-Around Bit features a brown iron, a low port mouthpiece that is very comfortable to many horses and provides excellent handling qualities.

The “stops’ on the shanks help the mouthpiece stay in place and the rider gets just the right amount of gag action. This bit can really package a horse up, keeping him collected and snappy in the turns.

Use this bit for correcting a horse that elevates his nose or drops his shoulder, and for helping a horse use his rear end rounding him out in a turn.

Josey Prime Time Bit

The Prime Time Bit is the same as the Million Dollar Bit but features a blue finish, silver beads, and silver overlay. Evenly distribute pressure across the nose, bars, corners of the mouth, curb, and poll. Get the job done with extra flash at your next rodeo or horse show.

Use this bit for achieving the all-important flex you need from a well-balanced bit or when you want some extra flash.
